Other Meals As we are remote, advance planning for lunch and supper meals is recommended. You may wish to bring along food provisions, purchase easily prepared provisions or picnic lunch fixings from us, or eat at local restaurants. We are 45 minutes from a large grocery store. The nearest town of Sunsites (20 minutes and 3 miles of unpaved road away) has a small grocery store, several restaurants and cafes. Provisioning Many of our guests wish to enjoy meals here in the Canyon. We enjoy being a very small, exclusive and quiet business and do not have a "restaurant license”. Our B&B permit only allows us to cook breakfasts. Due to frequent requests from those guests who prefer not to travel to a restaurant, or take up valuable vacation time with grocery shopping we have a provisioning service. We will be very happy to provision you for some memorable, easy meals that you can enjoy either in the comfort of your accommodations or in the majesty of nature extraordinaire. You arrive to a fully stocked pantry and refrigerator with no further cares. As we are a remote, wilderness destination, we normally maintain well stocked food supplies. We purchase high quality, wholesome, fresh and natural foods, using local specialties that nourish body, heart and soul. With sufficient advance notice we are able to provide all ingredients for a wide variety of entrees. Please let us know if you have any special dietary needs or concerns. Suppers We are happy to support you in the finest of informal, dining pleasures: · BBQ on your private porch · Campfire foods enjoyed sitting round a toasty warm fire (weather permitting) There is a full kitchen in the Casita Manzanita and a fully equipped kitchenette in the Agave Suite. Both units have a propane BBQ on the back patio. The tipi has an outdoor fire pit with a grill and we have another beautiful fire pit as well. Special Occasion Gift Baskets and Backpack Picnics Let us recommend some of our favorite picnic locations here in the Cochise Stronghold Canyon or elsewhere in SE Arizona. We provide everything for a gourmet picnic basket or backpack picnic, directions and detailed instructions… retreat to the serene tranquility of the Dragoon Mountain wilderness… we have a picnic basket or backpack picnic with all gear supplied for every occasion. Group Meal Provisioning For parties of 8 people or more we can provision your group on a custom order basis and suggest menu ideas. We schedule weekly grocery shopping trips to a number of stores in Tucson, Willcox and Benson, so advance notice is necessary to provide your requests. Local Restaurants In Sunsites - "Margie's Corner Cafe", "Shadow Mountain Country Club", "Sunsites Cafe", and "TJ's Bar & Grill". On Highway 191 north of Sunsites at the Country Store, is "La Familia". South of Sunsites on Highway 191 is "Arizona Cafe & Grill" and "Apache Lair". Elfrida, Benson and Willcox also have several good restaurants which we can recommend. Bisbee is noted for several very excellent restaurants, we are happy to recommend “Café Roka” and “Rosas Little Italy”. Retreat/ Hermitage We are happy to support secluded retreats (meditation, creative, stress-relief, bereavement, etc) with an extended stay. Daily delivery of fresh foods (with little or no direct contact, as you choose) can be pre-arranged, accommodating a variety of dietary needs and preferences. Daily deliveries would include a hot breakfast, fresh baked goods and produce, other meals ready to eat or requiring minimal preparation and all beverages as required.
